He is acknowledged as one of the leaders of the Domestic Garment Industry, and is currently the President of International Apparel Federation (IAF) based out of Netherlands, President of the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI), and member of the Managing Committee of the Apparel Export Promotion Council. The IAF is a Federation of the National Associations of 47 countries including USA, China, Germany, France, Italy, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Korea, Taiwan, etc. Rahul is the first Indian to be elected as President of the IAF. CMAI is the premier Association of Indian Garment Manufacturers, with over 2000 Manufacturing members and over 15,000 Retailer members.

Achim Berg is Partner at McKinsey & Company and leader of the consultancy’s Apparel, Fashion & Luxury Group. The apparel industry is Achim Berg’s area of special expertise. Over the past 15 years, Mr. Berg has advised numerous leading retailers, wholesalers, and producers worldwide on issues in operations, strategy, and marketing. As a result, he has deep insights into apparel markets, industry trends, and sourcing strategies. His experience ranges from conducting change programs and multiple due diligence engagements to optimizing assortment management processes. Strongly interested in helping to gather insights into the future of the apparel industry, Achim initiated the 2011, 2013 and 2015 McKinsey Apparel Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) surveys and is the author of the resulting reports.

He has over 25 years of experience helping corporations improve their business performance through the intelligent application of technology. Mr. Cavano is founder of TradeCard, Inc., which merged with GT Nexus in 2013. Prior to founding TradeCard in 1999, he was a Vice President at American Management Systems, an international business and information technology consulting firm. Mr. Cavano managed the Corporate Banking Practice of the AMS Finance Industry Group. Featured as one of World Trade Magazine’s 50 most influential people, Mr. Cavano is a frequent speaker and writer on topics concerning international trade and global supply chain management. He holds a BS in Bioscience from Penn State University and an MBA from New York University.

Jan Hilger is currently COO of Ahlers AG, which includes the brands Pierre Cardin, Baldessarini, Otto Kern, Pioneer, Gin Tonic, Jupiter and Pionier Workwear. Before joining Ahlers, Mr. Hilger has Vice President sourcing and production for PVH, Director Operations Formalwear, denim, shoes and accessories for Escada and Director Operations Shirt and Neckwear Division at Hugo Boss. Mr Hilger is an original thinker and well regarded speaker at international conferences. He is initiator and organizer of an annual business forum bringing together visionaries, out-of-the-box thinkers and business partners as well as competitors to exchange ideas and discuss solutions to deal with the ever changing sourcing landscape and supply chain issues.

Christoph Auhagen

Chief Brand Officer (CBO), responsible for Brand Management, Creative Management, Sourcing and Manufacturing.

Born in 1960 in Wuppertal, Christoph Auhagen began his career in the fashion industry with an apprenticeship at Karstadt Warenhaus GmbH in Dortmund. In 1984, he joined Hirsch AG in Düsseldorf as Product & Key Account Manager, a position he held for ten years.

Afterwards, he became Head of Purchasing at Leffers AG in Bielefeld and, following a merger, later at SinnLeffers AG in Hagen before taking over as Managing Director for Product Development, Sales & Marketing at Gerry Weber International AG in Halle/Westfalen until 2007.

Subsequently, he worked for Esprit Design & Product Development GmbH in Ratingen as Global Product Director. Christoph Auhagen joined HUGO BOSS AG in December 2009 as Chief Brand Officer (CBO) and member of the Managing Board. He does not hold any mandates at other companies beyond his position at HUGO BOSS.

He is married and has five children.

Gordon Richardson is the Creative Director at TOPMAN, overseeing the continuity of visual language across all visible brand channels.  Gordon joined Topman in 2000 and became Design Director in 2012. Gordon’s main focus is overseeing his team of 30 designers to define the trends for each season as well as ensuring all visual content is on brand.

Gordon has been integral in the inception and development of MAN – the event which TOPMAN and Fashion East started back in 2005 to showcase emerging menswear design talent. The event which started on the last day of London Fashion Week was so successful that the BFC further invested into menswear and so LCM was born.  Gordon is an official Menswear Panellist for LCM and sits on the New Gen Men panel as well as the MAN panel.

Gordon is also the main spokesperson and figure head for the brand and has appeared in features in print, Television and online over the years due to his unrivalled menswear knowledge and media presence.

He has also been instrumental in championing young design talent and through many TOPMAN collaborations has given them the stage to showcase their careers right at the very beginning – including amongst others, Kim Jones, Agi & Sam, Lou Dalton, James Long and Astrid Andersen.

Gordon graduated from The Royal College of Art in 1976 with a Masters Degree in menswear. He then set up his own menswear label stocked at Harrods, Joseph and Fiorucci.  Moving to Paris in 1978 to design women’s accessories for Daniel Hechter, he progressed to designer of the international menswear collection. Gordon returned to the UK as the Design Director of Sabre International and to take up the post of Principal Lecturer of Fashion at Kingston University in 1986 for a period of 11years, before commencing his career within one of the UK’s largest portfolio of high street brands-the Arcadia Group – working at Burton, Principles for Men, Racing Green and Hawkshead brands as Design Director.

Gordon lives in Twickenham with his wife Diane.  He has two daughters – Tess and Bea –  who also live and work in London.

Edward A. Gribbin is President of Alvanon, Inc., the Global Apparel Expert. Ed leads Alvanon teams around the globe helping fashion industry clients develop and implement growth strategies and solutions in disciplines ranging from marketing and merchandising to product development and supply chain. Ed is widely recognized as the world’s leading authority on apparel sizing and fit and serves numerous global organizations dedicated to the success of the retail, apparel and textile sectors.

Ed joined Alvanon in 2006 to launch its strategic consulting practice. Prior to Alvanon, Ed served as President of Intellifit Corporation, where he co-invented the revolutionary Intellifit Body Scanner. As Senior Vice President at Angelica Corporation, Ed managed sales, marketing, design and production for one of the largest corporate-wear companies in the United States. Ed serves on the Board of Directors of the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA), the International Apparel Federation (IAF), and the Sewn Products Equipment Suppliers of the Americas (SPESA). He is also a member of Fashion Group International, AAFA’s Supply Chain/Product Innovation Council, the International Association of Clothing Designers and Executives, the Association of Suppliers to the British Clothing Industry, ASTM International and the Fashion & Apparel Studies Advisory Board of the University of Delaware.

Ed earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from St. Joseph’s University, was a four-time member of the US National Rowing team and a World Championship medalist; he lives in Merion Station, PA with his wife Georgianne when he is not on a plane, train or boat.

Han Bekke

Han Bekke (1949) has a long career in the Dutch and international fashion and textile industry with a specialisation in textile and clothing marketing, trade policy, public affairs and assocation management.
He worked for more than 40 years for several trade associations in the Dutch clothing and knitting industry, lately as director general of MODINT (Dutch trade association for fashion, interior and textiles) which position he held till 1-1-2013. In March 2013 Han Bekke was elected as chairman of the board of MODINT.

Andrea Landa

Andrea Landa

Andrea Landa was born in Medellín, Colombia in 1986.

Her fascination with fashion started at a young age because of her talented mother who had her own fashion brand specialised in leather accessories. An ordinary afternoon was helping her mother develop a new collection and making different colour combinations with leather. She often accompanied her to leather trade shows in Italy and other places where Andrea developed a strong taste and knowledge for this material.

After her High School graduation in 2004, Andrea moved to Europe where she lived during 8 years between Paris, Florence, Barcelona and London.

Since January 2011 Souraya Bouwmans-Sarraf is Director-Dean at AMFI-Amsterdam Fashion Institute, part of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.

AMFI is the largest fashion institute in the Netherlands with more than 1,300 students and 100 staff members. It is also the only fashion institute in the Netherlands that covers the entire fashion chain. Students choose to specialize in Design, Management or Branding. Offering all its programs in Dutch and English, AMFI attracts many students from abroad together they have 54 different nationalities. In the BoF ranking 2015 AMFI was placed on the 20th place worldwide.

Mrs. Bouwmans-Sarraf is an historian and has an MBA specializing in Strategic Marketing. Over the years she worked in several international commercial positions within the Randstad Group. With her previous experience in the international field of business she is able to expand AMFI’s international network. This requires staying in good contact with the national and international fashion industry and fellow fashion institutes. Mrs. Bouwmans-Sarraf currently serves as Chair of the Education Committee for IAF – International Apparel Federation. Furthermore she is member of the Executive Committee of the worldwide education network IFFTI (International Foundation of Fashion Technology Institutes). This guarantees the internationally recognized high standard of the AMFI programs and also facilitates the exchange of students with many institutes around the world.
